Real Transformations

Before & After Family Therapy

BEFORE

“My 4-year-old was having 5+ meltdowns a day. Getting dressed, eating, leaving the house – everything was a battle. I felt like I was failing.”

AFTER

“Now she uses her ‘calm down tools’ when frustrated. Last week she took a deep breath and asked for help with her shoes instead of screaming. Jessica taught us both so much.”

Amanda T., Mom of 4-year-old

10 weeks

BEFORE

“My son cried for an hour at preschool drop-off every day. I would cry in the car. It was breaking both our hearts.”

AFTER

“Now he runs into his classroom waving bye! His teacher says he is one of the most confident kids. I got my happy boy back.”

Michael & Sarah K., Parents of 5-year-old

8 weeks

BEFORE

“My 7-year-old was struggling at school – not listening, distracting others, falling behind. The teacher suggested testing for ADHD.”

AFTER

“His teacher called to say he is ‘a different child’ – participating, finishing work, helping classmates. No medication needed, just the tools Jessica taught him.”

Why Choose Us

How Child Therapy Helps

Better Communication

Children learn to identify and share their feelings in healthy ways, while developing emotional vocabulary that helps them communicate needs without frustration or behavioral outbursts.

Happier Days Together

Through therapeutic play and guided activities, children develop better emotional regulation, resulting in fewer tantrums, improved behavior, and greater confidence in handling daily challenges

Play = Healing

Play is a child's natural language. Through carefully selected toys, games, and creative activities, your child processes difficult emotions, works through challenges, and builds coping skills in a safe, supportive environment

Children Build Skills Too

Beyond sessions, your child practices new skills like patience, self-awareness, and problem-solving that transfer to school, friendships, and everyday life.

Understanding Family Therapy

What Is Child Therapy?

Play is the primary and sometimes only language of a child! Instead of sitting and talking (which is hard for little ones), kids use toys, art, games, and imagination to express feelings and work through challenges. It looks like play, but it is purposeful healing work that creates real change.

Consider therapy if your child has frequent tantrums, seems unusually worried or withdrawn, has trouble sleeping, struggles at school, went through a big change, or if you feel like nothing you try is working. Trust your parent instincts – you know your child best.
Sessions feel like fun playtime in a safe, welcoming space. Jessica uses toys, art, games, and books to help your child express feelings and learn new skills. For younger kids, parents may join part of the session. For older kids, sessions are private with regular parent updates.
Every child is different, but most families see positive changes within 8-14 sessions. Some kids benefit from shorter support during a tough time, while others benefit from ongoing therapy as they grow. We check progress together regularly.

It depends on your child’s age and needs. For younger children (ages 3-6), parents often join parts of sessions. For older children, sessions are one-on-one with regular parent check-ins. We will discuss what works best for your family.

You should start seeing small improvements within 4-6 weeks – fewer tantrums, better sleep, improved mood, or more cooperation. We provide regular updates on progress. Trust your observations as a parent.

That is completely normal, especially at first! Children often need time to feel comfortable. We are skilled at building trust through play and fun activities. Many kids who start quietly become eager to attend after a few visits

Absolutely! We can help with focus, following directions, peer relationships, separation anxiety, and behavior at school. We can also work with teachers and suggest school accommodations if needed.
