Before & After ADHD Therapy

BEFORE

“My son couldn’t sit through a 10-minute homework session. He’d get up 20 times, lose his pencil, start crying. It was exhausting for both of us.”

AFTER

“Now we use the ‘pomodoro’ technique Jessica taught us. He does 15 minutes of work, then a 5-minute break. He actually finished his homework yesterday without a single meltdown.”

Lisa M., Parent of 9-year-old

8 weeks

BEFORE

“Our daughter was constantly in trouble at school for not listening, blurting out answers, and distracting other kids. Her teacher suggested we look into ADHD support.”

AFTER

“Her teacher emailed me last week to say she has improved a lot.’ She’s using her fidget tools, raising her hand, and has even made the honor roll. I’m so proud of her.”

David K., Parent of 11-year-old

12 weeks

BEFORE

“My teen with ADHD was failing most of his classes. He couldn’t organize his assignments, forgot deadlines, and was so frustrated he wanted to drop out.”

AFTER

“He’s passing all his classes now and even joined the robotics club. He has a system that works for him and actually believes he can succeed.”

Understanding ADHD Therapy

What Is ADHD Therapy?

ADHD therapy helps children and teens develop the skills they need to manage attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. Unlike medication, which manages symptoms, therapy teaches practical strategies for organization, focus, emotional regulation, and social skills that last a lifetime.

ADHD therapy focuses specifically on executive function skills — the brain processes that help with planning, organization, time management, and impulse control. We use evidence-based techniques tailored to how the ADHD brain works, including behavioral strategies, coaching, and skill-building.

No, a formal diagnosis is not required to benefit from ADHD-focused therapy. Many children show ADHD-like symptoms without a diagnosis. We can help regardless of diagnosis status. If you suspect ADHD, therapy can provide support while you pursue evaluation if desired.

Most families see meaningful improvements within 8-16 sessions. ADHD is a lifelong condition, so the goal is building skills and strategies that your child can use throughout their life. Some families benefit from ongoing “booster” sessions as new challenges arise.

What Parents Are Saying

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Therapy can be effective with or without medication. Many families find that therapy alone provides significant improvement. Others use therapy alongside medication. Jessica can discuss the options and help you make the best decision for your child.
Sessions are active and engaging — we do not just sit and talk. Your child might practice organization skills, learn breathing techniques for focus, role-play social situations, or work on homework strategies. Jessica makes it fun and practical so skills stick.
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental difference, not something to cure. Therapy helps your child understand their brain and develop strategies to work with it. The goal is not to eliminate ADHD but to help your child thrive with it.
Parent involvement is crucial. Jessica will teach you specific strategies for routines, homework time, emotional meltdowns, and communication. You will learn how to set up your home environment for success and respond to challenges in ways that help rather than escalate.

Absolutely. Many of the skills we work on directly translate to school success — focus, organization, time management, and impulse control. Jessica can also help you advocate for school accommodations if needed.
