Mindfulness in Media
Teen Social Media Group
Mindfulness in Media is a teen-focused social media group designed to help adolescents build healthy, informed relationships with digital platforms. Through guided discussion and interactive activities, teens learn essential media literacy skills—such as recognizing harmful or misleading content and understanding how online environments can impact mental health.
This group also addresses online safety, including identifying predatory behaviors, managing boundaries, and navigating social pressure. Teens are supported in developing critical thinking, emotional resilience, and confidence so they can engage both online and offline with greater awareness and self-trust.
This group may be a good fit if your teen:
-
Feels overwhelmed by social media pressure or comparison
-
Struggles with self-esteem related to online content
-
Needs support with online safety and boundaries
-
Would benefit from building confidence and critical thinking skills
Social Skills Groups
Our Social Skills Groups are designed to support children and teens in developing foundational interpersonal skills that are often overlooked in today’s digital world. Groups are offered by developmental stage to ensure age-appropriate learning and meaningful peer connection.
Through guided activities and real-life practice, participants work on emotional regulation, communication, flexibility, and empathy. Children and teens also learn how to tolerate boredom, disagree respectfully, and build confidence as both leaders and collaborators. These groups focus on essential life skills that are not typically taught in school, all within a supportive and structured environment.
This group may be a good fit if your child:
-
Struggles with peer relationships or social confidence
-
Has difficulty managing emotions or flexibility
-
Needs support with communication and cooperation
-
Would benefit from structured practice in a safe group setting
